Holistic Health Counseling and Holistic Cooking Classes
Robin offers the following Holistic Health Counseling Programs and Cooking classes at Harmony Farm. Outlined below are course descriptions. Please call Robin at 937.271.0381 to address any questions.

 

Holistic Cooking Classes Whole Foods Basics Series
Learn the basics of whole foods cooking. These classes will focus on healthy plant based cooking, stocking the whole foods kitchen and the benefits of eating organic whole foods based diet. We will discuss a “healthy kitchen makeover” and stocking a healthy pantry.

Dates:

June 6 – Go Raw! This class will focus on the cleansing benefits of raw foods with delicious and unique raw recipes: Super Smoothie, Hemp Kale Salad, Eggless Egg Salad, Raw Hummus

Time: 11am to 1pm
Cost: $65 per class.

Come join us as we journey into the exciting world of whole food. You are what you eat, so change your food, change your thoughts and change your life! In all classes, participant involvement is encouraged; you can indulge in chopping veggies, stirring stew or simply sit and observe. Throughout the series we will discuss the food and mood connection, eating for energy and the energetics of food. All classes include meal sampling.

Holistic Health Counseling Programs

Robin offers individual or group sessions. She is your coach, your cheerleader and will gently guide you through a very through process of creating awareness and bringing balance into all aspects of your life. You will learn to improve your eating habits, understand and deconstruct your cravings and make simple lifestyle changes. All sessions include cooking class and health food store tour. Holistic Health Basics– 6 Month Group Program

Two, two hour, group sessions per month for six months will focus on a general approach to health. In this class you will meet other like-minded seekers and share in creating group support and make new friends. Students will receive numerous recipes and handouts as well as share in the excitement of a group cooking class. Minimum enrollment required.

High Level Wellness – 6 Month Private Program

Cost: $1800/$300 per month

Two, one-hour private session per month with unlimited e-mail support between sessions. Private sessions are greatly focused on bio-individuality with opportunity to customize the program to your specific needs. You will also receive recipes, handouts, food samples, books and access to Just Great Foods lending library.

Just Great Foods Wellness – 3 Month Women’s Group Program

Cost: $795/$265 per month

Do you long to be healthier and more balanced? Do you want to learn new healthy recipes and be supported by motivated, engaged group of women? The Just Great Foods Wellness Program is a perfect opportunity to meet other women with similar visions, for their life and future. Learn how to trust your intuition about nutrition and listen to your body’s perfect wisdom. This is not a diet program – this program will give you an understanding of what works for you, uniquely. You will walk away with a better understanding of nutrition and your inner self. We will also be exploring:

  • Self acceptance (aka-we are all not meant to be a size 4) Deconstructing cravings Building your intuition about optimal nutrition Whole food basics Food and mood relationship Vibrational cooking Developing confidence in all areas of our life Getting connected to your body with movement The importance of letting go
  • Being open and developing deeper connections with others

Class includes:

Tai Chi with Rick Beck

Tai Chi is a practice of harmony. Three levels of harmony are focused on : self, others and the universe. The two dimensions of meditation and defense are entwined in the study of tai chi. In addition qigong, which gathers “chi” energy into the body, will be taught to enhance the general health of participants. Each class will include the discussion of the philosophy of tai chi as well as the practical application of its principals.

Tai Chi Chuang classes meet weekly for 1 hour sessions. Six week sessions are $72 and walk-ins are welcome for $15. Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing.Instructor, Rick Beck began his Tai Chi (yang style) studies in 1976 and has worked under Dr Fred Wu and Manuel Taningco. Rick has a black sash from Master Taningco. He has enjoyed teaching since 1990.

Hatha Yoga with Marianne Fink

The practice of Hatha Yoga, which uses the body as a vehicle for accessing spirit, can have profound effects on the mind and emotions as well as the physical body. The practice can create greater body flexibility, increased body awareness and an improved sense of well-being.

Hatha Yoga classes meet weekly for an hour and a half. Eight week sessions are $99 and walk-ins are welcome for $15 per class. The class structure includes: warm-up, postures, breathing and meditation. Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a blanket or mat and a pillow.

The focus of the Meditation Group is to create a space for silence and stillness in our lives while blending that with a time for personal sharing, support and community. This will be a time to step out of the energies and consciousness of our everyday lives and make room for a deeper connection with our source. We will assist each other in harmonizing and weaving together the eternal and timeless aspects of ourselves with the concerns and realities of our personal lives. Through guided meditation, silence and personal sharing and support, we hope to assist each other in blending the spiritual and personal for greater clarity, peace and well being.

The Meditation Group will be led by Don Kramer, Ph.D.; Don is a clinical Psychologist in private practice who has been doing clinical work for 30 years. He has special interest in integrating spiritual practice with psychological intervention and has led meditation groups and workshop in this area.
