Meet Dr. Brugh Joy

For thirty years, Brugh Joy has been a teacher of Heart Centered Transformation and Spiritual Enlightenment. His courses deal with body energy fields, healing techniques using energy transferred through the hands, and Self-discovery. His teaching includes shadow work (seeking insight into an individual’s unconscious side), understanding dreams and projections, and exploring high-intensity sound, rituals, collective energy dynamics, and intuitional states of consciousness.

Brugh’s academic background includes a B.A. from the University of Southern California (graduating Magna Cum Laude and being elected into Phi Beta Kappa). His medical degree is from the Un. of Southern California, where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical scholastic society. He completed an Internship and a first year of Medical Residency at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Md., and concluded his Internal Medicine training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn.

Brugh was board certified and practiced Internal Medicine in Los Angeles, Ca., until the events described in Joy’s Way: A Map for the Transformational Journey completely changed his life. A later and deeper encounter with spiritual forces is described in his second book, Avalanche: Heretical Reflections on the Dark and the Light.
