Meet Annie Thompson DC, CCN

Annie Thompson is a chiropractic physician and a certified clinical nutritionist. She also works as a birth doula. Annie’s mission is to provide all people an avenue for health and healing through access to loving care, and sound information regarding their own body and its innate ability to be well.
In choosing holistic medicine for her life’s work, Annie has committed herself to focusing on improving the quality of life of her patients, and adding healthy years to their lifetime. Annie aims to encourage each patient to take an active role in his/her own healthcare, and she always focuses on the importance of patient education regarding an active lifestyle, healthy food choices, and accountability for one’s own health. Annie also works hard to promote community responsibility for the health of children, and addresses the importance of nutrition and physical activity in the healthy neurological and physiological development of children and adolescents.

Annie received her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences, located in Lombard, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the same school, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Colorado State University, located in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

In addition to treating musculoskeletal and internal disorders, her special interests include nutrition and chiropractic care in the childbearing year, nutrition in adolescent athletes and its role in preventing common injuries, chiropractic care for infants and children, and increasing quality of life through diet modification and improving lean body mass. Her professional affiliations include: Clinical Nutrition Certification Board: Certified Clinical Nutritionist, International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, American Chiropractic Association, Ohio State Chiropractic Association, International Childbirth Educators Association, and she is a D.O.N.A. International trained Doula.

Dr. Thompson’s role at Harmony Farm includes traditional chiropractic treatment, and nutritional advice meant to augment those treatments.
